The Exporters and Investors Club has organized a working meeting with the president of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Gisela Sánchez Maroto, in which they discussed, among other issues, different opportunities for collaboration between the bank and Spanish companies in the current economic and geopolitical context, as well as CABEI’s strategic plans and its interest in becoming a key institution for investors and companies in the region in the next 5 years.

Sánchez Maroto also highlighted the recent upgrade of its credit rating to AA, which allows the bank to offer better financing conditions and to actively invest in key sectors such as sustainable infrastructure, microenterprises, rail transport, water, sanitation and health.

During the meeting, mention was also made of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fund for the Internationalization of Enterprise (FIEM), which opens up new financing opportunities for joint projects within the framework of technical assistance to create new growth opportunities.
