The Spanish Exporters and Investors Club, as part of the activities organized by the Multilateral Organizations working group, held an interesting online seminar titled: “Charting the course: exploring the Global Gateway initiative”, with the participation of the following top-level panelists: Félix Fernández-Shaw (Director for Latin America and the Caribbean in the Directorate General for International Partnerships of the European Commission), Simona Gueorguieva (Head of Unit, Horizontal and Global Affairs in the Directorate General for External Affairs of the Council of the European Union) and José Rubio Vela (Head of the Support Unit in the Directorate General for International Trade and Investment of the Secretary of State for Trade). Joaquín de la Herrán, coordinator of the Multilateral Organizations working group, was in charge of moderating the colloquium. The welcome was given by the president of the Exporters and Investors Club, Antonio Bonet.

During the event, the ambitious Global Gateway initiative was explored, which seeks to channel and make visible the public and private resources of the European Union to contribute to the improvement of European competitiveness in the digital and environmental transition. We also explored the objectives, scope and investment opportunities offered by the Global Gateway initiative, and its potential to boost the internationalization of European and Spanish companies in a new context of global competitiveness.
