The Exporters and Investors Club has held in collaboration with ICEX, and exclusively for its members, a meeting with the counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Lagos (Nigeria), Tomás Fernández García.

After some words of welcome by our Africa working group coordinator, Jesús Jiménez, the presentation of the counselor, Tomás Fernández García, focused on the political history of the country and its current situation, in addition to discussing the shortcomings of the Nigerian economy; a series of shortcomings that result in opportunities for foreign companies.

Likewise, those attending the meeting were able to learn about the great business opportunities that Nigeria presents for internationalized Spanish companies. Especially with regard to infrastructures, capital goods related to oil production, etc.

Finally, a discussion was held between the Counselor and the attending companies and the Counselor dedicated some of his time to chat with each of them after the meeting was over.
