The Exporters and Investors Club, in collaboration with ICEX and exclusively for its members, held a meeting with the Commercial and Economic Counselor of Spain in Brasilia, José Jaime Bernárdez Gumiel.

After a few words of welcome by the Club’s president, Antonio Bonet, the Commercial Counselor gave his presentation. His presentation focused on Brazil’s economic situation, bilateral relations with Spain and existing business opportunities.

Likewise, those attending the meeting were able to learn about the great business opportunities that Brazil presents for internationalized Spanish companies. Some of the most relevant sectors for exports are agri-food, agriculture, machine tools and capital goods, engineering, environmental services, ICT, defense, security and dual-use material (satellite and surveillance systems, border monitoring); while investment offers opportunities in infrastructure (airports, railways, ports, roads and energy), renewable energies, water infrastructure, solid urban waste, smart cities and satellite systems.

Finally, a colloquium was held between the counselor and the attending companies, as well as some bilateral meetings.
