The Exporters and Investors Club organized, with the support of IDOM, an exclusive working breakfast for its members with Fernando Jiménez-Ontiveros, Director of Multilateral, Horizontal and Financial Cooperation of AECID, who is responsible for the drafting of the regulations of the new Spanish Fund for Sustainable Development (FEDES) as an instrument of financial cooperation, According to the Law on Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Global Solidarity, it will include “new instruments and more flexible decision-making and management procedures, and guidelines to improve its impact and ensure its full coherence with the goals of sustainable development”.

During the meeting, the attendees were able to learn first-hand about the guidelines and principles being followed at AECID for the development of these regulations. They also had the opportunity to convey their concerns and proposals for this new instrument to take more account of companies and facilitate their participation in projects financed by FEDES, while at the same time making it a useful tool for the development of international business.
