Other meetings organized by the Club
23rd July, 2024
On July 23rd, our members had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive breakfast meeting organized by the Exporters Club together with Squire Patton Boggs, which was attended by George Grammas, a leading expert on sanctions, foreign investment, compliance and regulation in the USA.
During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, including recent developments and the future of export controls and sanctions in the U.S., as well as the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
George Grammas currently leads the International Trade Practice at Squire Patton Boggs, a firm with a global network of more than 40 offices on four continents representing clients in matters related to export control, sanctions, CFIUS clearances and other regulatory and compliance issues.
During the event, the speaker explained in detail to the attendees key concepts for the future application of these controls and sanctions, and analyzed the reactions of China and Russia to these measures. In addition, he shared his thoughts on compliance and investment in the US market, providing a comprehensive and practical overview
We thank all our partners for their participation in this enriching event, George Grammas for attending and Squire Patton Boggs for his collaboration that has undoubtedly helped to strengthen the understanding of this market in an increasingly regulated and competitive environment.
